Excitement is the Key to Diet Success
If you’re starting a new diet, this is a great way to approach it, with a lot of excitement. If you’re not excited about the new direction that you’re taking with diet and fitness, then there isn’t much point in doing it. If you’re excited, you’ll be willing to step far out of your comfort zone and try new habits that can take root and help you to reach your goals. The principle of excitement also applies on a physiological level. There are substances that create a thermogenic effect in your body. This is another way of saying they create heat. This is very valuable if you are trying to burn fat, because increasing heat allows your body to increase its metabolism, or the rate that it burns fat.
Since the key to success in dieting is excitement, you won’t get very far if you can’t sustain that excitement. It is easy to get discouraged when you venture in a new direction because you’ll inevitably notice your shortcomings. If you haven’t developed skills in a new area, you’re likely to go through a learning curve. Don’t let your excitement wane when you start to see your weaknesses. You have to keep yourself in that positive agitated state, the state that allows you to stay out of a rut and moving forward.
